Assessments by Design: Rethinking Assessment for Learner Variability

We evaluate our students’ achievement because we are required to do so. Policy 5, IPESA (Institutional Policy on the Evaluation of Student Achievement) provides provisions to do so but does not necessarily tell us how to design coherent and effective evaluation strategies. This article offers insight on how to design evaluations that actually measure what you intended the students to learn.
