You do not have to be artistic to enter into the program. Through our courses, we'll help you develop your creative skills. However, interest in any of the following would be a great asset:

• creating and working with images
• using images and type to solve visual communication problems
• enjoying drawing and sketching

It is not necessary to own a computer for the program. We have two full computer labs and a workroom with up-to-date computers and industry-standard software for our students. However, having you own computer at home will provide you with more flexibility to work on your projects outside of class.

In the classroom, you will be working on Windows-based workstations. However, any iOS (Mac) or Windows-based system will work. If looking to buy, you'll want to look for:

• A fast CPU with 4 – 8 cores (i.e. Intel i7 or higher)
• A dedicated graphics card/chip with at least 4GB of VRAM (Nvidia works best)
• At least 16GB of RAM, but 32GB or more recommended
• A fast and stable hard drive (like a Solid State Drive) with a large amount of space
• A high-resolution display (1920x1080 minimum), minimum 15"
