Introduction

This Microsoft Excel course will walk you through Excel basics and spreadsheet fundamentals, help you work through commonly-used Excel formulas and finally end with more advanced Excel skills

Objective

The objective of this training is to introduce users to the Microsoft Excel tool. During this training, students will learn the introductory features and formulas of the software. They will be able to create basic financial sheets and statistics. This training will help users apply Excel for project tracking, inventory management, and performance statistics.

Emploi Québec Subsidy 

Emploi Québec Outaouais offers a subsidy for this course. This training is for workers in the Outaouais region, employed, or unemployed, who want to improve their professional and technical skills. Applicants who wish to request the subsidy must fill out section 5 on the online application form. Candidates must meet the criteria listed in the “Further details” section below to benefit from the subsidy. 

Further details 

You are eligible for the subsidy if you live in the Outaouais region, and you are: 

  • Currently working for private businesses, municipal corporations, communities and band councils, not-for-profit organizations, co-operatives, self-employed workers, or self-employed groups 
  • a seasonal worker on a temporary layoff 
  • looking to upgrade your professional and technical skills to maintain your job 
  • reorienting your career 

You are NOT eligible for the subsidy if you are: 

  • Not a resident of the Outaouais region 
  • employed in the public or para-public sector 
  • a full-time student 
  • receiving CSST (worker’s compensation) or from the SAAQ 

Maximum of two (2) subsidized courses per person per year. 

Maximum of three (3) employees per place of employment. 

Cost 

If eligibility requirements are met the registration cost to be paid by the participant is reduced to $190.25 

Payment Methods

Your registration will be official when payment has been received. As soon as you receive confirmation of reception of the registration form, please activate your Omnivox account by following the instructions in your confirmation.  Pay online using your Omnivox account, by credit card or Visa debit card. CÉGEP Heritage College cannot accept cash payments nor personal cheques.  ALL payments MUST be made using a debit card (including Visa debit), credit card, money order or certified cheque. Payments can also be made by mail or in person at Student Services.

  • Please note: Professional and Personal Development Courses/Workshops are subject to all applicable taxes, (except for language courses which are not subject to taxes).

Refund / Withdraw Policy

Participants wishing to withdraw must contact Student Services.

  1. Participants wishing to withdraw before the course registration deadline: partial refund ($30.00 administration fee will apply).
  2. Participants wishing to withdraw after the course registration deadline: no refund.
  3. Any course/workshop cancelled by the College: full refund to participants.
