Overall health and wellness is important to your everyday success. To perform well in your academic and working career, you need to know how to look after yourself --physically, mentally, and emotionally. Our Physical Education classes will help you to work on being the best you can be.

Active lifestyle

We offer our students opportunities to learn new activities and skills. We strive to empower our students to stay active while having fun! Activties can include:

  • stand-up paddle-boarding
  • team sports
  • canoe camping
  • meditation/yoga
  • hiking/cross training

Balance

Life is all about balance. We need to make time for eating, sleeping, school, work, friends, family, physical activity, and downtime. You will have the opportunity to reflect on your current approaches to time management and find ways to improve.

Create healthy habits

You will gain the confidence to take responsibility for your own health. You will learn how to cope with stress, set goals, be motivated, eat well and get better sleep. These lifelong healthy habits will continue to serve you after your time at CÉGEP Heritage College.

Learning spaces and resources

Our Physical Education facilities include:

  • a full sized gymnasium
  • a bright and spacious state of the art Fitness Center with weight training machines, cardio machines, free weights and squat racks
  • a multi-purpose room with lots of room for cross training workouts and circuits
  • a large studio space with cushioned floor and wrap around windows and mirrors
  • outdoor beach volleyball courts, a soccer field and access to the Gatineau Park
  • class set of spinning bikes, yoga mats, cross-country skis, and snowshoes
  • extra-curricular programming to keep your schedule full of action
  • fun, engaged, approachable and committed faculty/staff
