On October 12th at the University of Lethbridge, educators from across Canada and hundreds of Lethbridge-area teachers gathered to take stock on how we can respectfully and accurately incorporate Indigenous perspectives into all aspects of our schools and classrooms, including lessons on the history and legacy of residential schools. This is a panel discussion on how we can “scale up” Indigenous co-learning initiatives that support non-Indigenous K-12 teachers, schools, and post-secondary and teacher training institutes in using education as a tool for reconciliation and in building relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples.
